As we count down to the Cancer Research UK Boat Races 2016, which will take place this Sunday 27th February on the Tideway in London, here at Cam FM we are speaking to the crew and coaches for both the Cambridge men’s and women’s boats.

Today we turn the spotlight on CUBC chief coach Steve Trapmore, who Cam FM spoke to just before the official crew announcement a few weeks ago. Rob is no stranger to the Boat Race scene by now as this is his sixth year as CUBC Chief Coach. He spoke about how the athletes balance their academic and extra-curricular commitments, the bumps competition, and crew selection dilemmas.
