Cam FM News - Farage cancels Cambridge visit Wednesday, 22 October 2014

The much publicised talk by Nigel Farage, due to be held in the University of Cambridge Department of Politics and International Studies, was cancelled last week amidst the threat of mass protest.

Cam FM News were exclusively told by Professor Haslam, the organiser of the event, that the protests played a part in his decision to cancel the visit. He was also due to attend formal hall at Corpus Christi college, at the invitation of a member of the college.

Tom Bateman and Alex Matthews attended the 'Tell Nigel Farage that he is NOT welcome in Cambridge' protest, which went ahead despite Farage's cancellation.
