Cam FM Committee

It is with great sadness and grief that we share the news that Jordan Keyton, our Head of Sales & Sponsorship and the host of The Jordan Keyton Show, has passed away.

Jordan was truly a light in all of our lives; from being first to help out with any issue our members faced, to being there for us so diligently as a friend, the committee and the station as a whole is devastated by his loss.

From the moment he was first elected as Head of Communications & Events in 2023, Jordan was an instrumental part of the day-to-day running of Cam FM. His long list of achievements is almost impossible to fully catalogue, but among other accomplishments he refreshed the station's audio imagery; completely revamped the financial running of the station; and worked tirelessly - often through sleepless nights - to fix and update many technical aspects of the station. He was recently re-elected to the committee in the Head of Sales and Sponsorship position, after likewise serving in this role on the 2024-25 committee, and was due to stay on as a Technical Consultant after his graduation.

His work did not stop with the station's administrative aspects, however - he was a wonderful, bright, and diligent friend to us all, and was able to light up a room by his very presence. He was a mainstay at Cam FM socials, bringing his infectious energy and laugh to us all whenever it was needed.

Recently, at the Student Radio Conference, Jordan was honoured with the Gold award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Radio; an award that was collected by current members of committee, and which received two standing ovations from members of the audience. There is no one more deserving of this award; Jordan worked so tirelessly to help the station, and poured his hard work into its continued success without even a second thought.

We will, as a station, be coordinating further efforts to remember Jordan in the coming weeks. But, for now, we would like to take this opportunity to remember his incredible legacy - first and foremost, as the most wonderful friend any of us could have asked for.
