For those with any interest in Oxbridge rowing, all eyes turned to Central Hall in Westminster on Tuesday morning as the official crews were announced for both the Men's and Women's 2016 Cancer Research UK Boat Races.
Both the Cambridge Men and Women lost their respective races last year and start this year as challengers for the races which start at 3:10pm and 4:10pm on Sunday 27th March 2016.
The Cambridge men's boat boasts four returning Blues versus Oxford's one, with 5 seat Luke Juckett, 6 seat and President Henry Hoffstot, 7 seat Ben Ruble and cox Ian Middleton returning to try and help the light blues avoid a fourth straight defeat.
In the women's race, experience across the two crews is much more even, with each boat containing three returning Blues each. Bow seat Ashton Brown, 5 seat Daphne Martschenko and cox Rosemary Ostfeld all return for the Cambridge women's crew from the inaugural race on the Tideway in 2015.
